Kati Garcia-Renart is a graduate of Bard College where she
majored in dance and began her studies of Flamenco under Aileen
Passloff.
In 1990 she went to Spain to continue her work in Flamenco
and other Spanish dance forms. She studied with Mercedes and
Albano and Mercedes Leon as well as with La Cintia. During
that time, Kati performed in various theatres in Madrid, taught
modern and Spanish dance at the Academy Relatores and had
many of her own choreographies performed.
Kati has taught and performed in California, Massachusetts
and New york. She has currently been teaching at Bard College
for the 2003 spring semester.
