Veronica
Poblete is a textile artist and designer from Santiago, Chile,
here for her first full summer on Nantucket. In addition to
her work in the design world, which currently has her organizing
an international textile art show at Chile's national fine
arts museum, Veronica has spent the past three years studying
traditional Middle Eastern dance techniques.
Veronica's belly dance workshops and classes begin with the
basics of breathing and relaxation and lead on to teach a
variety of ancient techniques and movements in celebration
of womanhood.
Special techniques such as dancing with candles and veils
are also taught.
